Sin

The film follows one of the most critical stages in the life of the great artist Michelangelo when two powerful forces struggle to gain his loyalty. He becomes the victim of this conflict. Andrei Konchalovsky presents a different narrative to the life of one of the most famous Renaissance artists. Despite the great legacy left by Michelangelo, the context in which he made his work was not at all pleasant. The film focuses on one of the most creative periods of his life, in which he completed the facade of the San Lorenzo Church, but also discusses his poverty and his attempts to gain the loyalty of masters at the time. Actor Alberto Testone offers a compelling performance. (Cairo International Film Festival)
