E pur si muove, And yet she moves! Peter Delpeut, famous for his inventive way of recycling forgotten images from the silent movies, performs his act live here. He films a musical dance composition in one prolonged shot, boldly utilising variations in focus (the relationship between focus and out of focus increasingly fascinates me). At the end of that take, he arrives exactly where he has to be, on one of the prettiest film-hands I have ever seen. The hand opens up and relaxes in our eye.
