Mina-Anud

Inspired by true events, paradise is turned upside down when drugs wash ashore in Eastern Samar of the Philippines archipelago. Meanwhile in Borongan, Samar, a couple of down-on-their-luck surfers, Ding (Dennis Trillo) and Carlo (Jerald Napoles), discover a few of these packages, floating in the water at their favorite surf spot. They are soon faced with a choice - do they turn it over to the authorities or get lured towards the road of “easy money,” a risk worth taking for family and freedom and a way out of their financial misfortunes? When their buddy Paul (Matteo Guidicelli), a local who has gained a modicum of show business success gets wind of their newly acquired stash, he decides to throw epic parties to “pimp it up.” The film also delves into other characters in the region who also discover the cocaine, and showcases their own moral quandaries from a barangay chairman to a drug enforcement agent on the hunt.
