Poirot on ikävystynyt. Hänellä ei ole ollut murhaa tutkittavanaan viikkokausiin. Hastings yrittää parhaansa mukaan piristää ystäväänsä ja vie hänet teatteriin. Suunnitelma menee myttyyn, sillä Poirot ratkaisee näytelmän murhan jo ensi minuuteilla... It seems innocent at first, but then it develops into a very interesting detective case that I enjoyed from the beginning to the end. It's the kind of case where you simply have to know how everything happened and why, even though you basically don't have the opportunity to uncover the murderer's identity, just like Poirot did not in the play. Out of the first five parts, this one entertained me the most.

The biggest problem with The Third Floor Flat is that the viewer has almost no chance to participate in the search for the perpetrator, as Poirot manages to uncover him within a few minutes and almost half of the running time consists of a chase between the police and the criminal on the run, which is unusual in this series, but I prefer cases that keep me in suspense until the final minutes.
