Why Women Kill (2019)

englanti I didn't really believe I could like the series, but in fact, I was hooked right from the opening episode. I thought the chosen narrative mode (three constantly alternating timelines) would be chaotic, but I couldn't be more wrong. It was the alternation that suited me very well, amusing me by linking scenes with a completely different setting (even though it was still the same house). I love films with a retro vibe, so I found the 2019 storyline least appealing, but still enjoyable. I had a surprisingly great time watching this. ()

Murhalla välttyy anteeksipyynnöltä (2019) (S01E01)

englanti Initially, I was worried about the frequent shifts between timelines, but it actually adds to the story's pacing rather than detracting from it. It's obvious that men won't be the good guys here and the cast is properly multicultural but it doesn't bother me. Overall, I had a good time. ()

Tappaisin, mutta pesin jo hiukset (2019) (S01E02)

englanti The 1964 timeline evoked the same atmosphere as Mad Men, which I appreciated. The humor employed by the creators fits me perfectly, the storyline keeps moving, and the alternating timelines continue to add to the momentum. ()

Tapoin mitä mieskin, mutta koroissa (2019) (S01E03)

englanti While this episode may have been the weakest link thus far, I still found it enjoyable. Admittedly, the pace slowed down across all three timelines, but Beth Ann's plan provided some amusing moments. Overall, it didn't leave me disappointed. ()

Rakkautta ensisurmauksella (2019) (S01E04)

englanti While the last episode left me a tad underwhelmed, the fourth one truly hit the mark for me. It reignited the pace and delivered a compelling storyline across all timelines. Plus, the humor was on point this time around. Special shoutout to Teacup! ()

Ei auta itku murhamarkkinoilla (2019) (S01E05)

englanti I'm thoroughly impressed with the series so far. Each episode has been a delight, keeping me thoroughly engaged throughout. This time around, Simone and Tommy took the spotlight, giving me some good laughs. ()

Kaikin puolin kuolettavaa (2019) (S01E06)

englanti The episode strikes a perfect balance. Comedy, drama, and romance intertwined seamlessly, offering a fresh perspective on one of the characters. Despite its demands — two dinners and a party crammed into fifty minutes — it kept me engaged from start to finish! ()

Murhan salaisuus on ystävät (2019) (S01E07)

englanti I find myself surprisingly drawn to this series, despite its clear pro-feminist (or anti-male) stance. Perhaps it's because it doesn't shy away from critiquing its own side, which lends it a sense of balance. However, what really grabs my attention is its exceptional writing and direction. ()

Murha on vain oire liiton ongelmista (2019) (S01E08)

englanti The creators are certainly not keeping the best for the very end. Based on what I've seen, I'd wager that the penultimate episode might deliver a pivotal plot twist. What got me was the question "I was wondering if there was a cancer you could recommend." ()

Naiset pitävät sinusta kuollakseen (2019) (S01E09)

englanti The creators laid the groundwork for the finale brilliantly, and I savored every moment of it. Once again, it was a fantastic time. ()

Tapa minua kuin viimeistä kertaa (2019) (S01E10)

englanti Given its American origin, I half-expected an overly sentimental conclusion, but fortunately, that wasn't the case. What stood out for me was how all the timelines seamlessly connected in one pivotal moment, and I appreciated the symbolic passing of the keys. ()
