Kirja iltahämärässä (1973) (S03E12)
The episode started with the problematic *A Book at Bedtime*, then moved on to the Scottish kamikazes, which led to the sketch "No Time to Lose." Frontiers of Medicine revealed the untapped potential of penguins, and I was delighted by the Unexploded Scotsman Disposal Squad — what a treat! The sketch *Spot the Looney* was a bit of a letdown, but the fierce competition between reporters made up for it. Weighing all the pros and cons, I couldn’t give this episode anything less than five stars.

Britannian viihdepalkinnot (1973) (S03E13)
An excellent final episode. Eric Idle's perfect look as the host of the British Showbiz Awards had me hooked from the start, and the devious antics at Oscar Wilde's house were hilarious. The "New Brain" sketch felt a bit weaker, but "Blood Donor" quickly picked things up again. I also thoroughly enjoyed "International Wife Swapping," and Terry Jones shone as the "Dirty Vicar." If I had to pick a favorite sketch from this episode, it would definitely be Oscar Wilde.

Season 4 (1974) (S04)
The fourth season doesn’t quite reach the level of the previous seasons. It's hard to say whether it’s due to the absence of John Cleese (not only as an actor but mainly as a co-writer), or whether John Cleese left because of the declining quality of the sketches. Anyway, I still think that even if the Pythons aren't doing their best, other filmmakers would give anything to match the quality of their worst effort. So, even though I wasn't exactly blown away by the fourth season, I still had fun. And that’s the point, right?

Kuumailmapalloilun kulta-aika (1974) (S04E01)
The episode had its funny moments, but the absence of John Cleese was definitely felt. While he might have been the most self-centered of the Pythons, it’s perhaps why I missed him here. The segment with von Zeppelin and O'Toole's thank-you speech were the highlights and had me laughing the most.

Michael Ellis (1974) (S04E02)
The second episode was much better in every way. I found it a lot more entertaining, especially the scenes in the department store, which were wonderfully absurd. I think the English can count themselves lucky that Michael Palin didn’t become a salesman — customer suicides would have surely skyrocketed.

Hamlet (1974) (S04E04)
I have to rate this episode similarly to the previous one. I enjoyed Hamlet, the fake psychiatrists, and Michael Palin as the quirky "bobby," but overall, it felt average. The fourth season just doesn't have the same spark as the first three.

Michael Palin definitely carried the fifth episode, whether he was the spokesman unveiling new mailboxes or the commander of military operations against Mr. Neutron. However, I have to say it again — it just wasn’t the same anymore.

The finale stayed consistent with the rest of the season - rather average. I enjoyed the Icelandic honey sales sketch, the expert on finishing sentences, and the somewhat horror-themed cricket match. However, overall, it didn't quite reach five-star territory for me.
