Kung Fu: The Legend Continues was the continuation of the popular '70s drama Kung Fu. While Kung Fu was set back in the early 1900s, This version is set in modern day. It features David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine's grandson, also named Kwai Chang Caine who is a Shaolin priest. The show also featured Chris Potter as Peter Caine a police officer. The show usually dealt with mystical shaolin dealings but at times had events such as kidnappings and stopping robbers. (jakelijan virallinen teksti)

englanti An attempt to follow up on the classic TV series from the early 1970s, which once earned David Carradine his reputation. The original Kung Fu rode on an exceptionally large wave of popularity for Eastern mysticism and martial arts, albeit often perceived in a peculiar and highly distorted way in the West. I used to catch glimpses of that series on Austrian television, and it had a certain charm - after all, I was at an age more receptive to such projects. By the 1990s, similar themes had become quite overplayed, and the television studio treated it as just another series, not particularly financially favored. Carradine was also aging, and his successor lacked that "Shaolin" charisma. In terms of script quality, it's a significantly watered-down affair. Overall impression: 25%. ()

englanti The first episodes had some charm. David Carradine successfully convinced me that he was a spiritual, wise warrior and that was enough for ten or fifteen episodes. But when you try to squeeze water out of rocks, the only thing you are left with is boredom and awkwardness. ()
