The film adaptation of the successful short story by Jaroslav Rudiš, permeated by black humour, penetrates into the mind of an outsider xenophobe from a decrepit Prague barrelhouse, who hides his vulnerability behind a tough mask and his inner frustrations with the state of society are released through brawls. englanti A very apt probe into the life of the typical Czech guy thoroughly soaked in extremism and into the community of pub loafers with whom the tough guy spends all his free time. It is a drama that is laced with vulgarities and tragicomic situations with a pervasive ironic undertone. I don't know about anyone else, but I thought it was pretty accurate. Except for the rough ending, I even chuckled quite a bit. I don't have a single complaint about the direction and the script, and the cast suited me as well. Hynek Čermák and Jan Cina deserve the highest praise, both portraying their characters so convincingly that it couldn't have been done better. In the list of positives, I also have to mention the great musical accompaniment. (80%) ()
