Satash

In a small village in the Kazakh steppe there lives a police officer, Satash Baukebayev. He is honest and incorruptible, unlike his father, a corrupt police officer who died at the hands of gangsters. Some innocent people from their village died that day with Satash’s father. He feels guilty about this and tries to make amends to the villagers, who don’t trust him. When gangsters arrive in the village one day with a truck carrying a hazardous load, Satash has to decide whether to join the uneven fight… A real western of the very best kind. (Warsaw Film Festival)
