Broken Mirrors

Giora, a decorated army officer, lives with his wife, Nava, and the couple’s two daughters, Ariella and Reut, outside Jerusalem. He is an authoritarian figure to his children and is especially strict with Ariella, punishing her severely for even minor transgressions. But Giora fails to punish her when she makes a really serious mistake. Mystified, Ariella sets out on a journey to discover her father’s secret past. (Montreal World Film Festival)
