Gipsy Queen

Ali (Alina Serban) has the heart of a lioness. With an iron will, the ex-boxer and single parent keeps herself and her children above water with a cleaning job. Ali hasn‘t been in Hamburg very long. She was kicked out of her Romanian Roma village by her father when she get pregnant out of wedlock, and is still traumatized by the rejection. When one day she takes all the pain and frustration out on a punching-bag, Tanne (Tobias Moretti), the owner of the Ritze, spots her talent and takes her under his wing.
