englanti At first, I thought this show would be about a young boy struggling with himself and his "white knight syndrome". I also expected it to be about whether chivalry has any place in today's world. I thought there would be some conflict between the modern and medieval worlds. Unfortunately, it is not really about those things at all. This original idea and interesting subject matter is only peripherally there to cover up a rather simple, almost flat narrative and, again, a certain amount of tropes. It is probably also there to make the main male protagonist look not so ordinary because it's his "white knight syndrome" that makes him a bit different from all the other "cookie-cutter" male protagonists. Now that is out of the way; I will tell you what I think it is about. This anime series is, first and foremost, a feast for those of us that anime society labels as "Lolicons". Even the opening, where the main female protagonist shows off her various cute poses, tells us something. Furthermore, even the animation style makes the female protagonists look as attractive as possible. It has quite a superficial narrative, and I guess the main gist is that the female protagonist is just a pitiful, incredibly cute Lolita girl who needs rescuing. The main male protagonist with his "syndrome" is simply the perfect person for the job. The heart of a person who likes cute things cheers this type of show on and has no problem sympathizing and rooting for the main male protagonist because protecting cute Lolita girls is simply the only right thing to do! What does it matter that many things seem illogical, exaggerated, and crazy? Furthermore, as the episodes go on, more girls come along, and among them is another cute Lolita girl, who also looks charming at first glance. What does it matter that she comes up with probably the biggest cliché we can experience in Lolita anime shows, i.e., she immediately addresses the main male protagonist as "daddy"? So the bottom line is that this is a very first-rate show, containing many things that annoyed me and that I do not find believable; however, since I am the target audience, the rest of it suited me down to the ground. So 6/10, and if you are not the target group, take two or three points off. ()
