12-vuotias Max (Jacob Tremblay) on paniikissa: hänet on kutsuttu bileisiin eikä hän osaa suudella. Max ja hänen ystävänsä Thor (Brady Noon) ja Lucas (Keith L. Williams) etsivät kuumeisesti apua tähän kipeään pulmaan ja saavat neronleimauksen. He päättävät käyttää Maxin isän dronea – johon ei tietenkään saisi koskea ilman lupaa – vakoillakseen naapurissa kismailevaa nuorta paria. Kunnianhimoinen yritys menee päin mäntyä ja drone tuhoutuu. Epätoivoinen kolmikko päättää lintsata koulusta korjatakseen tilanteen ennen kuin Maxin isä tulee kotiin. Hakumatkalla vastaan tulee pari yllättävää muuttujaa kuten vahingossa varastettuja huumeita, paint ball –rynnäkkö, poikia takaa-ajavia poliiseja ja kimppuun käyviä teinityttöjä. (Finnkino)

This is this year's big hit and a clear Comedy of the Year! After all those teen comedies set in high school comes a tween comedy from elementary school and not only will it take you back 20 years nostalgically, but it will also make you laugh, smile, be touched and maybe even shed a tear at the end. Jacob Tremblay is a already big Hollywood star (13 decent films at 13 years old!). The film has a rather funny story featuring the first porn movie, the first kissing party and the first buying and selling of drugs (the scene in the drug den is one of the highlights). An unexpected hit that I will definitely come back to. 85%

As far as weaker moments go, this movie has quite a few, yet I’m still rating it relatively high. There might be a poor joke here and there, but it’s usually followed by an extremely hilarious one. I also had to appreciate that brainwashing at an early age does indeed produce results, and if the Americans keep this up, they will end up like the dodo because men are scared to even look at a woman, let alone touch her. The humor in this comedy is so unbalanced that I could give it a lower rating, but I did have a good laugh, and there was an important truth hidden in the ballast, and it made me think of a couple of childhood friends I hadn't seen for decades.
