The Cry (2018)
When I started watching this mini-series, I thought it would be about something completely different and I was afraid of yet another sob story. But I soon realized that the British were not Americans for whom pathos is of utmost priority, and I was able to have a great time watching a series in which drama turns into a thriller imbued with cold cynicism in the second half. I think this was an excellent series, but bear in mind that it was also because I enjoyed watching Jenna Coleman, who was perfect for the role. ()
Episode 1 (2018) (E01)
Without hesitation, I confess that the opening episode of the miniseries seemed terribly chaotic to me. The plot jumped around like a flea from one timeline to another, and although I'm used to many things, the flashback within a flashback really surprised me. However, after some time, I got used to it and I caught myself really enjoying the story and that I liked watching Jenna Coleman (attractive both physically and as an actress). ()
Episode 2 (2018) (E02)
The initial chaos disappeared into the unknown, the story's plot gained a pleasant pace, and I found no reason to lower the rating (to tell the truth, I didn't even try to look for one). Once again, I had to appreciate the amazing Jenna Coleman, but what I especially liked was that the story had depth and I never got bored for a moment. ()
Episode 3 (2018) (E03)
British creators constantly surprise me, I'm really curious how the final episode will evolve, especially since the third part brought a verdict. The story has definitely taken a great twist, a generous dose of cynicism has been added to the depressive drama, and I occasionally chuckled happily. ()
Episode 4 (2018) (E04)
After how the story developed in the third episode, I was a little worried about the final part, but I am happy to admit that I was worrying completely unnecessarily. The creators came up with an interesting plot again, which I couldn't detach from the whole time, and instead of disappointment, enthusiasm arrived. ()
