The film's title refers to the sharpness of human vision when compared to that of a hawk. The deformations and blurriness of the image, dependent on the density of photoreceptors, hide concreteness. The allusion to the myth of Icarus addresses questions of distance and clarity, while the meticulous rhythm of the narrative develops the theme of point of view and falling from great heights.
