This experimental short from Michelle Latimer (whose timely Viceland doc series Rise has been receiving recent accolades) is one of four films in the NFB's Souvenir series, which sought to reframe Canadian history through a contemporary lens. Here, Latimer subverts the white colonial gaze to honour First Nations, Métis and Inuit women. (Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival)
