Ticket to Torture

I only rarely and reluctantly rate a movie as "Boo!", because you can always find something positive in any movie, and the team that produced it will at least see that their creative efforts have been appreciated and given one star, for example. Jak se mori revizori, however, is a complete "Boo!" in every way, although if I were to rate it according to the extent to which I maliciously "enjoyed" watching it, I would certainly award the movie five stars. It is actually such an outrageous piece of crap that it is entertaining in the “so bad it is good” type of way. Eva Toulová has rightly earned the nickname "the Czech Ed Wood" because it really takes some balls for someone (i.e a FAMU graduate), to release this amateur mess of relentless commercials, insults to people’s common sense, and shabby visuals where absolutely everything feels very wrong. It also took some balls to seriously release this into the world - and furthermore with limited cinema distribution. (24.12.2019)

The film was completely free of acting performances. The director, the screenwriter and the actors hardly took any part in the filming, and the cameraman just casually left his camera sit somewhere, forgetting to turn it off. At least that was my impression. The film sucked. A special mention goes to the "inconspicuous" product placement so typical of Czech films. (14.05.2020)
