Pablo's Winter

Pablo is one of the last generation of miners in the Spanish province of Almadén. The mines were shut down in 2000. When Pablo wanders among the old buildings, when he tries to stop smoking, when he reluctantly dances with his wife and smiles to himself while doing it … a piece of his past is always with him. Pablo’s Winter is a quiet, poignant portrait of a man and a town that must both reinvent themselves. (DOK.fest München)
