At first and second glance, it is a bit of a hackneyed survival film, in which there is a son who is in his teens and doesn't like his tough father much, but he has to survive hunting in the mountains with him. This time, the word survive takes on a classic survival meaning. As a survival film it works quite well, as an emotional film not so much.
