In Kent, England, in a house surrounded by a jungle-like garden, and in a studio packed with papers, cuttings, drawings, books and an occasional cat in transit, lives the octogenarian painter Rose Wylie. She achieved success at a late age, after rearing a family for whom she postponed her art, with a work so fresh it could have been by a twenty year old. In this film, Ben Rivers captures the artist working, in her own surroundings, showing her drawings and paintings and conversing. A portrait that Rivers presents as a visit to a friend, with the collaboration of a character as eccentric as she is lucid and brilliant. (Seville European Film Festival)
