The first episode of the seventh season was indeed better than many episodes of the previous season, but that's not a praise, that's a cruel reality. No matter how much I looked, besides a brief appearance of Twisty, I didn't find any horror and I had to endure Sarah Poulson in all six previous seasons literally, and I'm not sure if I can handle it for the seventh time. The second episode was a tiny bit better than the opening episode, but it wasn't any big win either. For me, the worst part is definitely the casting of Sarah Poulson as the screaming phobic - it really gets on my nerves. I would also appreciate it if the plot would actually move somewhere, as it's currently just treading water. (11.11.2018)

No, in the last comment I wished for development in the story and I got it. I enjoyed the third episode of the seventh season, the previous ones bored and annoyed me. I assume that Kai Anderson will turn into a new Charles Manson, now it's important for the creators to maintain the pace, to make the plot sufficiently interesting, and I would also advocate for a proper atmosphere. The creators surprised me greatly with the fourth episode, the first episode disappointed me and I didn't expect at all that I would be able to rate it with five stars in the seventh season. And yet. The episode mainly focused on the events leading up to the election night, and it nicely explained some previously unclear matters, the plot was interesting throughout, the atmosphere was excellent, so I didn't even mind that it wasn't actually a horror. I don't believe it myself, after a tragic sixth season, AHS is entertaining me again, I didn't hope for that at all, I expected average or below average, and then this comes. True, it doesn't scare me in any way, but the episode had a working atmosphere this time as well, there was tension and some brutal action. Satisfaction. (13.11.2018)

The creators once again managed to please me because they successfully continued with what they started in the fourth episode. They managed to limit the exaggerated outbursts of the uncontrollable phobic Ally and instead focused on the story itself, which made me enjoy the series again. (13.11.2018)

Although I finally found out what really happened with the Zodiac, I can't shake the feeling that the seventh episode was somewhat weaker than the previous three parts. I think the backstory of the new character could have been portrayed in a different way that wouldn't have taken up the whole episode. For this, the creators could not count on my satisfaction, they pushed too hard, plot twist followed plot twist, but the story suffered greatly because of it. Basically, it was nothing more than a contemplation of how women have a miserable life because of men, which was topped off like a proverbial cherry on the cake by an insemination ritual. This theme is already becoming very cliché, especially when presented so naively. (14.11.2018)

The ninth episode made a much better impression on me than the previous one, even though Ally was becoming more and more prominent. Basically, I agree with ssscreama's observation about Vincent, although I think that a radical restriction of the internet would affect everyone much more. (14.11.2018)

"I had no problem with Kai Anderson behaving similarly to Charles Manson in the series, but I don't understand why a significant portion of the episode had to be devoted to detailing Manson's most famous action. The conclusion of the seventh season disappointed me a little. It is true that there were scenes that received my rating slightly above average, but I was bothered by a number of completely illogical situations, for example, Kai's escape from prison was clearly forced. However, after what the creators showed in the sixth series, I admit that it could have turned out worse. (14.11.2018)

The eighth season didn't impress me much from the start, because the creators' approach to the nuclear disaster and the ensuing radiation strongly reminded me of the unabashed amateurism of The 100 creative team. Things seemed to be improving later on, but it didn't last long. What fascinated me most about Apocalypse is that it didn't feature any elements of horror. I would be okay with calling it a mystery. There was no sign of a horror atmosphere, though. What I enjoyed were the callbacks to previous seasons, but I wasn’t amused by the final showdown. (21.12.2020)

I reluctantly gave this season's premiere a single star simply because I wanted to give it a fair chance. But boy, did it disappoint. I can't decide if the creators were being naive or just plain dense, but the storyline and logic were all over the place. From the absurdity of nuclear explosions and radiation, blatantly borrowed from The 100, to the head-scratching mystery of who took off in that airplane. That was definitely a WTF moment. What a turnaround from the shaky start of the season! I never imagined I'd be awarding three stars, but here we are. The creators seem to have found their footing again, steering away from nuclear fission and returning to the essence of what made the series great. Much like the previous episode, I found this one quite satisfying. It was a relief that the creators spared their characters from lethal doses of radiation and instead delved into the good old times, which worked surprisingly well. Although the introduction to the Seven Wonders was a bit lacking, and there were moments where I would like the horror aspect to return into this American Story.. (20.12.2020)

Wow! This time, the creators made me bump up my rating, and surprisingly, they didn't rely on horror to do it. Instead, they tapped into nostalgia and delivered an episode filled with explanations that I found thoroughly enjoyable. Plus, there were some well-executed comedic moments thrown in. (20.12.2020)

Another episode that could've been left on the cutting room floor without much loss to the main storyline. Watching the Antichrist grapple with his inner demons left me yawning, and I couldn't shake the feeling that the scriptwriter was the one in crisis. What's more, I'm getting tired of the same old American clichés — satanists only seem to exist in hoods and bloody rituals. Where do the creators even draw their inspiration from?
