Nils lives in a nursing home and has for years been regarded as demented by the staff. He does not respond to any form of communication and seems lost in his own world. The new nurse Karen discovers that it is possible to communicate with Nils on Sami, and she soon realizes that Nils has something important to tell. Karen must choose who she shall listen to.
