Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

I really enjoyed both seasons, the second one even slightly more. Dirk Gently was a bit sidelined in it, which clearly benefited the story. My favorite character all along was Bart, so I was a little disappointed that she didn't get as much screen time in Season 2. In any case, the creators did a great job with the fictional realm of Wendimoor, which gave the whole series an even crazier vibe. A great show, I'm sorry it’s over. (08.11.2018)

Comedy/sci-fi? Why isn’t mystery listed among the genres? It would fit perfectly. I was hesitant about watching the series and it turned out to be a big mistake. The series features plenty of action, time travel, transmigration of souls, and supernatural abilities. Last but not least, a great deal of intelligent humor. I had an amazing time, and I hope Bart croaks at me again in the second season. (02.02.2017)

The first episode surprised me mainly because the presence of Elijah Wood in the series doesn't bother me at all, even though he has been getting on my nerves since everything was flooded. The plot seems interesting and funny to me, although it's true that nothing makes sense to me yet, because new questions are constantly being asked and not a single answer is given. But that's not a problem, I love Lynch's films and especially the Twin Peaks series, so I understand that owls are not what they seem. (01.02.2017)

So it's clear now, I'm enjoying the series more and more, the trap system really got me, I was laughing so hard I almost cried, those two troublemakers would probably never finish Resident. I was annoyed by one thing, as soon as I wrote in the previous comment that Bart is my favorite character, the next episode completely does without her. That's unfair and unsportsmanlike. Well, hooray, Bart and Ken are back, so I can be satisfied. Another great character is the amazing sergeant Friedkin, and the Inkubus project is perfection itself, it's just a shame about Agent Fisher/Detective Zimmerfield and his expressive eyebrows. The plot was entertaining and gripping enough even in the fifth episode, so I'm looking forward to what comes next. (02.02.2017)

The sixth episode brings a torrent of questions from previous parts finally revealing a whole series of answers and the realization that Bart unexpectedly has a low pain threshold. Actually, I have nothing to criticize, the story has pace, tension, a decent amount of action, excellent humor, and enough crazy ideas to hold my attention firmly. (02.02.2017)

Once again, complete satisfaction, crazy journeys over time, people running around so fast that they often see each other from behind, Patrick Spring is absolutely luxurious, but my question is: "Where is Bart?". Her chattering was greatly missed. (02.02.2017)

Season 2 was a pleasure to watch. I had even more fun than with the first season which was already great. True, there was no migration of souls this time. Instead the creators came up with the crayon realm of Wendimoor and its inhabitants, which was a real treat. The story was so fast-paced that I could barely keep up, the humor was perfect, there was plenty of great action. Bart was still there, joined by Alan Tudyk this time in the role of Mr. Priest. I had some concerns about the second season, but the opening episode quickly reassured me. There was no catastrophic decline in quality, Bart didn't disappear either, so I was fine. Moreover, the creators let only two months pass in that year and they very well continued from the first season. (06.11.2018)

The second episode was very successful, the creators did not lower the bar that they set very high with the first season, they are further developing the absolutely crazy story and I felt like Dorothy was no longer in Kansas. So far, I have really enjoyed the character Suzie, and now Mr. Priest has also entered the scene. (06.11.2018)

It's on a good track, the third episode maintained the quality of the previous parts (rather improved it) and I am still having a great time. The story is excellent, but the characters and their casting are a delight. This brings me to an event that thrilled me - Bart returned to me after the previous break. Mr. Priest and Tina complemented the lineup perfectly, so I am no longer so disappointed that nobody can properly raise an eyebrow. (06.11.2018)

The story remains very good, so far I felt like it references The Wizard of Oz, but Dirk's fall into the "rabbit hole" was like Alice's:-) So far, all episodes of the second season had a great atmosphere, wonderfully bizarre plot, and quality humor. I firmly believe that the creators will be able to maintain this until the end. (06.11.2018)

The fifth episode seemed to me to be slightly weaker than the previous one, but it was still very well done and I couldn't give it less than five stars. I am enjoying the second season even more than the first one, I am really getting into it, I just can't afford to lose focus for a moment, so it's not a relaxing watch, but a proper intense experience. Another great episode. I was completely knocked out by the awakening after a sleepless night, and Suzie really didn't make any mistakes. I'm starting to get annoyed in some places that I have to be on alert all the time, but at least I can occasionally use the pause button, otherwise I would miss out on a lot of information due to laughing fits. I really love Douglas Adams' humor, no wonder since he also wrote for Monty Python, and here I could fully enjoy it again. The plot of the seventh episode may not have been as eventful as I was used to, but a proper dose of humor saved everything. (07.11.2018)

At first, I wasn't too excited about the pastel kingdom of Wendimoor, but I quickly started enjoying it and now I am really looking forward to it. I really liked, for example, the local version of the guillotine there, I will never handle scissors lightly again. I also enjoyed the stimulating conversation with Bob. (07.11.2018)

Except for the overly warm meeting between Panto and Silas, it was once again a great spectacle. Whenever Wendimoor comes up, I always remember Stephen King's (or rather Richard Bachman's) book "The Regulators", as both the series and the book clearly show that crayons in children's hands can represent a deadly threat. It turned out that the creators of the series know how to fool me perfectly without using any new tricks. In the final episode of the first season, they disgusted me with an overly sweet ending, only to then amaze me with a fantastic twist. Now I fell for the same trick a second time. Everything was happy and sweet again, until it came to the final conversation between Bart and Ken... (08.11.2018)
