Medicit

The first season brought me quite a few disappointments, but I still found it fairly enjoyable, so my overall feelings are mixed. The pace of the story suffered due to the frequent shifts in time. In fact, even without time travel, the story often dragged on a bit. Given that it was about the Medici family, I was expecting a greater amount of intrigue and manipulation, so hopefully in the next season... (03.12.2019)

At the beginning of the series, I didn't expect anything groundbreaking, so I wasn't disappointed when nothing like that happened. The plot of the first episode was mostly interesting (except for occasional dull moments), but in my opinion, it would have greatly benefited the story if the creators had stopped switching timelines (at least the time jumps wouldn't have to be so frequent). From the second episode, I had almost the same impression as from the first part, I enjoyed it as a whole, but I didn't like the additional time jumps, and I still have trouble finding my favorite character. If I were to compare, The Borgias with Jeremy Irons would clearly lead for me in terms of a richer plot and better cast. (02.12.2019)

The third episode showed a significant decrease in travels over time, which I quickly appreciated with an extra star rating. As a result, the plot seemed faster-paced compared to previous episodes and gave a much more cohesive impression. However, even with that, it's not too strong of a four-piece from my side, there's just something missing. 4*- (02.12.2019)

I added an uncertain fourth star last time, but this time I couldn't find a reason for such a move. I had the impression that the creators were trying to make a very dramatic episode, but it didn't have much effect on me. At times it was a bit boring, Contessina's outburst in Signoria seemed unnecessarily theatrical, but at least I finally found out why the two families dislike each other. (02.12.2019)

In the fifth episode, I was finally able to reach a better rating, although this time the plot dragged on a bit in some places, but the creators compensated me with a greater amount of intrigues, which I quite enjoyed. Joyfully, it was scheming everywhere and against everyone, so I quite enjoyed it. (03.12.2019)

Either I got used to it or the creators really managed to come up with a faster plot, but the pace of the story seemed quite decent to me (probably helped by the absence of time jumps). All the subplots in the episode caught my attention, so I'm actually looking forward to the next episode. (03.12.2019)

No, not that the seventh episode did not bring an interesting plot or that it was too boring, but there were some deaf moments that occurred occasionally, and the search for the killer within our own ranks seemed at the very least amusing, if not desperate. I probably trusted the creators too much when I was looking forward to a proper season finale. Even this time, the excitement didn't happen. I had a feeling that the creators realized too late that this was actually the final episode and they tried to end all storylines at any cost. (03.12.2019)
