Deceit

Xavier, a naïve, petty criminal, is lured into participating in an elaborate scam devised by a master conman. What originally appears to be easy money turns out to be a deceitful con game that is really about paying for the sins of Xavier's father. In an attempt to maintain his freedom, Xavier suffers through the abduction of his girl, the murder of his father and risks being sent back to jail. Deceit is a mystery, a puzzle and a journey about revenge, betrayal and trust. It requires decoding by not only the detective in the film but also the audience. Although the mystery can be explained, the real enjoyment is in the experience of watching it unfold and the subsequent discussion it generates.
