Chand metre moka'ab eshgh

A large group of Afghan immigrants work in a factory in a poor district of Tehran. The group includes Marona and her father who rescued her from Taliban bombings. The Afghans work side by side the Iranians in abysmal conditions, the immigrants must hide from police checks, and the poverty afflicts everybody equally. Marona falls in love with Saber, a young Iranian, and they are planning their future together. Yet their relationship must remain a secret because of their different origins, so they keep meeting in an abandoned shipping container. The Iranian-Afghan drama shows the social situation in the suburbs of Tehran without any glorification, and contrasts the cruelty with innocent love of two people. (Febiofest)
