Ten years after Délits flagrants, Raymond Depardon continues his investigation of the French judiciary system with this latest documentary, 10e chambre, instants daudience. Twelve cases, twelve stories ranging from simple drunk-driving summons to arrests during the previous night, ordinary men and women find themselves in front of the machine justice. Granted special permission, Raymond Depardon and his film crew were able to observe the hearings in a Paris court dealing with misdemeanours. During the investigation, the French director meets up with Michèle Bernard-Requin, one of the public prosecutors encountered during the making of Délits flagrants. (Viennale)
