Max Simkin (Adam Sandler) korjaa kenkiä pienessä newyorkilaisessa suutariliikkeessä, jonka hänen sukunsa on omistanut jo sukupolvien ajan. Sandler failed miserably with this one. The movie was quite civil, but it could have at least been a bit watchable. This flick was incredibly boring and the Jewish music motifs didn’t make it better, either.

The ending feels terribly lost, and you get the sense that something that could have been more interesting is cut short halfway, but there's nothing to be done about it. I just can't be objective when it comes to a Sandler movie. I enjoyed this film; there are interesting actors, and even though the summary isn't executed well, the journey was intriguing and sometimes inventive.
