A conversational flick with dozens of characters, half of whom are unnecessary. The style of storytelling is similar to that of Robert Altman, but the result is not nearly as effective. Actually, the film doesn’t even know what it wants to say. And it’s boring. I expected more from the makers of The Remains of the Day.
