With painstaking attention to detail such as uneven places in the sand that are slowly covered by the waves, the filmmaker constructs static images in which all movement comes from the watery mass of the sea or plants resting on its surface. Clumps of seaweed create massive moving textures.
The famous photographer also explored water in all its forms in his previous film, the avant-garde classic H2O, and followed up on his meditations on breaking free from the concrete in his abstract work Mechanical Principles. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
