A hare who is treated like an outcast because he has no ears finds an egg. He takes care of it until it hatches, and a chick emerges who doesn't fit in with the other chicks because he does have ears. The two misfits become best friends. The hare without ears is just as talented as the rest of the hares. But since he does not have ears, nobody wants to play with him. One day he finds an egg on his doorstep - little does he know that this is the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
