Season of Heat

Akira is a young thief, picking pockets with the help of his hooker friend, Yuki. He is turned into the police by Kashiwagi and sent to a juvenile reformatory, where he befriends Masaru. When Akira and Masaru are released, they drive a stolen car to the beach to celebrate with Yuki – and by coincidence, find Kashiwagi with his fiancée Fumiko. Akira grabs Fumiko and rapes her in revenge. One day Fumiko runs into Akira at a Jazz bar, where she tells him that she is pregnant with his child. Meanwhile, Masaru joins the local Yakuza group to enable him to establish a new life with Yuki. The film depicts fragile relationship of young couples, sensitive to what happens around them.
