De Martes a Martes

Taciturn Juan works in a clothing factory where his boss bullies him. He spends all of his free time in a gym, with the occasional side-job as a club bouncer, and he dreams about opening his own fitness club with the money he has been saving. When he witnesses a crime, he uses the situation to his advantage and gets the money from the culprit. However, the crime results in unexpected problems. This intimate story focuses mainly on portraying the inner loneliness of the amateur body-builder; it guides the viewer through the everyday routine and the wearisome, monotonous work. The main character thus in many ways resembles Dennis from the film Teddy Bear (2012), which appeared in the Czech cinemas in the autumn. (Febiofest)
