I don't want to give this a rating. Why? I don't know what to make of it. :-D It's good, but... but you have to catch all the parodies, clichés, references to thousands of things (of course, sometimes so contrived that it's not even a reference anymore), detective archetypes in Japan and beyond... and more blah blah blah. It's crazy, over the top, almost unwatchable for the average consumer. But it's funny if you "play" the creators' game. And not many people can do that; I'd say even the Japanese themselves would find it over the top, but that place over the top is where the joke is... which I did manage to "crack" every now and then, but most of the time I was more like WTF. It's a ride; you won't like it, but give it a go, you just might be the minority it's made for. (14.10.2013)
