Anna Rijnders, a young and intelligent psychology student, notices one day that someone has installed a mysterious App called IRIS on her smartphone. Anna soon discovers that the App delves deeper and deeper into her personal life, flawlessly exposing all of her deepest secrets. The cunning App starts to terrorise her, distributing compromising photographs, videos and text messages about herself and her friends via her contacts list. All attempts to delete it result in fatal, mysterious incidents. Unwillingly, she becomes involved in grisly and inexplicable events, and is drawn into the dark and fearful world of the App. When Anna decides to take a stand against the evil App, she unwittingly sets a chain of horrifying events in motion, putting her life and that of others in danger.
