A revolutionary donning a traditional Bridal Mask changes history by protecting the Koreans from Japanese imperialists in 1930s Korea. (Prime Video)

Oh brother, the Japanese messed around with them so much... in other words, if this had followed the history, they didn’t hold back from shooting everything up and they wouldn't have cared... And once again, I've hit upon why I get disgusted while watching a lot of the Korean series – the overabundance of melodrama, pathos, fake tears, and odd misery, not to mention the fact that sometimes the characters are so insufferable that I feel like grabbing them by the collar and slapping them, hello to that silly goose Mok Dan. Joo Won only convinced me of his brilliant acting skills elsewhere, and he was definitely much better to watch when he had brothers by his side. What I did like, though, was the OST. Even a year after watching it, I'm still happy to play it. Of course it's not bad: there's action, love, tragedy, friendship – just a lovely package of the clichés we love so much. ()
