Four paradoxes of the Mexican judicial system which account for the decline in law and order on the streets of Mexico City.

El torzón - A cop catches Alfonso and Álvaro smoking weed inside their car. He asks for a bribe and threatens to take Alfonso to jail unless Álvaro can come up with the money in half an hour.

Vida exprés - A group of thugs kidnap Teresa, an obese woman who owns an ad agency. When her spendthrift husband Jorge finds out, his world comes crashing down as he faces the difficulties of coming up with the $200,000 USD ransom.

Barbacoa de chivo - Racked by poverty, Jobo and his wife Lupe cannot afford medicine for their seven year-old daughter, who suffers from cancer. Desperate, Jobo steals a valuable painting of Santa Úrsula from a church. While he escapes, he stumbles upon Carlos, a university professor taking pictures of the convent. A priest runs out onto the street announcing the robbery, and Jobo points the finger at Carlos.

Comida de perros - Felipe barges into a restaurant and holds up some customers, but although everyone in the restaurant can see him, no one seems frightened. As the robbery progresses, the customers even start to make fun of him. (Morelia International Film Festival)
