Carrol Jo Hummer returns home from the Air Force and starts working as a trucker like his father before him. Trouble starts when a bunch of racketeers try to pressure Carrol to use his rig for smuggling contraband. When Hummer refuses, he is beaten up and blacklisted. So, together with other honest truckers, Carrol organizes a protest movement that leads to a massive strike. Quite good, slightly forgotten action movie from the seventies, which has a pretty good redneck vibe, but above all, it has a beautiful final scene with a truck. I've watched that scene several times in a row because it's really worth it. If they nailed it on the first try, then the filmmakers are cool and I applaud them.
