Exists

At first glance, it looks pretty good – a horror film in which Bigfoot is a monster (there aren't many films like this), and it's all shot like found footage (which smacks of 2008's Cloverfield, for example). In the end, however, I found it unfortunately a bit bland. I guess I was expecting a bigger wow-effect, but unfortunately it didn't happen. The chases with the Yetti weren't bad, and neither was the look of the monster, but it was missing something. In short, a horror film that sticks somewhere below average, which is a shame, as the potential was there. (29.06.2016)

Exists is a classic found footage film, which simply means to me that it's a film that won't bring anything new, a film where the techniques will be repetitive and where there will be repeated shots that I've seen so many times that I simply don't want to see them again. Sánchez shows more, but even then it's not something that will astound the viewer. On the contrary, it's rather something that will blend in with the multitude of similar films. (06.07.2016)
