Steinbock (Til Schweiger) and Hammer-Gerd (Detlev Buck) are serving time in prison. The two friends share a cell and set out to make their punishment as pleasant as possible. This they do much to the chagrin of prison warder Dr. Fazetti (Leander Haußmann), who experiences distress on a regular basis as a result of activities such as the wild wheelbarrow race. An innovative rehabilitation programme is needed so Dr. Fazetti plans something ground-breaking: Women from the outside are to take care of model prisoners. And whoever behaves well enough can spend a couple of days on parole with his "probation officer". Steinbock and Hammer-Gerd are among the chosen ones – and end up in the understanding arms of the sweet caregiver Emilia (Marie Bäumer) and the lisping young singer Maren (Heike Makatsch) ... but also in the middle of chaos!
