Ranskan presidentinvaalit vuonna 1988. Separatistiryhmä ottaa kiinni 30 poliisia Ranskan Uudessa-Kaledoniassa. Terroristiasiantuntija kapteeni Legorjus lähetetään hoitamaan tilannetta, mutta hän juuttuu nopeasti poliittiseen verkkoon, kun molemmat presidenttiehdokkaat käyttävät tilannetta hyväkseen vaalikampanjoissaan. If I hadn't recently seen Hotel Mumbai, I would have rated this higher. This way, the plot seemed a bit boring at times. I understand that when the main character is a negotiator, there will probably be a lot of talking. However, with a running time this long, the film could really use some action. Otherwise, I was very satisfied, I can’t wait for some ex-slaver, ex-colonizer or ex-Nazi country (fill in the names of the countries yourself – they can fall into more than one category) to teach us about human rights and how we should treat our ethnic minorities.
