Franzi and Christian were once a happy couple. But after the death of their child, Christian begins to drink, and Franzi sinks into depression. Things brighten up for Franzi when Dr. Markus Brenner opens his veterinary practice and hires Franzi to help him. The two fall in love, but Franzi vows not to leave her husband.
