englanti I really enjoyed this show. It has a slow start, and it takes a while to get going. However, the atmosphere created by the anime's producers is amazing. Plus, the soundtrack accompanying the narrative gives you chills at times. Sure it has a few holes, and you might start to wonder about the actions of some characters (and sometimes the whole village) at times. However, in my view, it did not seem too illogical in the end, or rather I justified it by the fact that people do strange things in different tense situations. Furthermore, Shiki also brings up a lot of really interesting questions, and it is obvious that the anime's creators were trying to add a psychological element to the narrative, which I thought was quite successful. I could sympathize with Shiki, and their attitude was not hard to understand. The characters were another hugely positive aspect. They were well fleshed out, and almost everyone had a believable personality, which is amazing in this day and age of generic and flat characters. Plus, there is the incredibly cute Sunako, who was just impossible not to like, and so even that other part of my personality, let us call it "Lolicon," for example, came into its own. So I am happy on all counts. 9.5/10. ()
