This solid new documentary from 3Sat clearly combines certain facts from Hedy Lamarr's life, with excerpts from her roles, interviews, and comments from some more or less literal experts. Charming is the old Mickey Rooney, who fell in love with Hedy as Tondelayo, but they didn't make a movie together. I accept Lamarr as a meaningful puzzle in a collage, but I would go lower if I were to rate it as a stand-alone documentary that has yet to introduce audiences to Hedy.
