It was once again confirmed to me that when I have scenes with Mitchell and Cameron, it's a good sign for the episode. I just didn't expect that Valentine's Day with Phil and Claire (Juliana) would overshadow the holiday at Jay and Gloria's (and Sonia's). Well, the whole Mitchell and Cameron situation didn't really entertain me in this case, and the events on the plane didn't make me burst out laughing either, so I had the most fun at Jay's house. That was a jump! The previous episode was somewhat dull, but this was great! I had no idea how much fun I could have with a series of video conference calls. Phil was once again demon-like, his knowledge about what's happening in his own house almost killed me, and his deduction skills from the available clues could be envied even by Sherlock. // "I'll still kill him! The seventeenth episode should have received only four stars from me correctly, because the humor used in the scenes where fighting with the drone took place was too straightforward, but it perfectly suited me here, so I had a great time. The creators once again gave Phil enough space to really get going. His relationship with Luke and his constantly decreasing self-confidence almost brought me to my knees. I was amused by the mission to save his daughter combined with a longer smoking break, and I also chuckled at the theater soap opera without advertisements. // "The world can be dangerous, sometimes you even come to harm at home." Jay's birthday this time became an example of how a huge potential of a quality topic can be wasted. Jay. Birthday. And the creators of this episode made it a completely dull affair, with only occasional bright moments. It really made me angry. // "Do you know how a human pyramid would turn out without training? I can't help it, but I somehow can't stand those Dunphy neighbors, they don't fit into the show at all, and I constantly feel that Claire and Phil would be funnier on their own. Anyway, I had a great time watching the episode, Jay was in top form again and the trio of party animals was also great. 4*+ // "RJ is flying to New York, I think I will cry more than when we found out I was pregnant." The episode wasn't bad at all, but on the other hand, it wasn't great either. I definitely had something to laugh about, but I also know that the creators are capable of creating much funnier situations, so I couldn't rate it any higher. I can't say that I didn't enjoy the twenty-second episode, I just didn't enjoy it as much as I expected. Among the better aspects of this episode was definitely Gloria's effort to obtain American citizenship and Sunjay's mother, who was somewhat overemotional. 4* - "They called us to the principal's office a week before Alex's graduation." "There can only be two reasons for that, either she is the top student of the year, or they have introduced an award for the sexy dad." Special, I'm not exactly a fan of child actors, and I'm quite surprised at how often Lily manages to entertain me. The script is favorable to her and at least she gains some points back that the series prepares for Cameron. This time I didn't hesitate with the rating at all, Alexina's graduation celebration was a success. Claire was giving me the lifts, coming with her fancy gifts at the same time as Jára Cimrman to the patent office, Mitchell's employment problem amused me, but the best was definitely Robophil. // "I just plugged him in, a pleasant change compared to when I disconnected Dad in the hospital." Season 7 wasn’t bad, yet there were only a few episodes (namely five) that I enjoyed enough to give a five star rating. The creators provided a good dose of humor as usual. I just felt that most of the episodes needed spicing up a little. On the other hand, there were also episodes that didn't impress me much. In any case, I wasn’t bored, I had fun and I definitely won’t miss the next one. (17.03.2019)

I enjoy how smoothly the individual seasons follow each other and how, unlike adults, the passing time is reflected in child actors. I laughed the most at the selection of nursery school with Jay and Gloria, Haley's breakdown wasn't bad either, and Mitchell had a few quality moments, only Cameron is a lost case for me. // "When was the last time you took a shower?" A successful episode, the creators managed to include in it what I was missing in the first part. This time they succeeded in involving the whole family in the plot, Phil had the opportunity to shine again as a real estate agent, and the effort to avoid watching Lily's soccer game was perfect. In the seventh season, Modern Family continues to be a safe bet if I want to exercise my abs. Dad Phil once again showed that he really deserves the Father of the Year title. I enjoyed the cooperation between the father and son of the Pritchett family in fighting their archenemy. Gloria's efforts in Manny's school and Luke and Manny's new hunting ground were also entertaining. I also like that the creators don't push too hard on the emotional moments. The fourth episode of the seventh season didn't really interest me in any way. Phil's work on the duck village went completely over my head, Mitchell's troubles with tenants and Cameron just bothered me (unexpected, right?), and even Gloria and Claire couldn't save the situation. After the previous unpleasant surprise, the creators have returned to their standard quality, which has pleased me quite a bit. The events surrounding Jay and Phil weren't that amazing, but I was entertained mainly by Claire, who almost managed to turn another ordinary workday into Halloween. However, the best was undoubtedly Gloria, whose big dream almost came true. // "Do you think I climbed up by being in the execution squad?" / "You're old." "And did you see my lady, you jerk?" Hmmm, I can't help it, but Cameron really ruins the show for me, it's already certain that he will be one of my least favorite characters from movies and TV series. Jay was somewhat unremarkable this time, but everything was saved by tough dad Phil, who showed himself in a previously unknown light. 4* - // "Well, I used to see her for a while, but then she pulled down the blinds." In the seventh episode, I had a great time, but it wasn't enough for a fifth star. I think there could have been a little more to get out of the situation in the villa, some moments felt a bit lost, but Claire did a great job again, what about the Valentine's Day invitation? // "Who is the black sheep?" This time, to my surprise, I was most entertained by the sisterly conversation between Haley and Alex, which I think the creators really nailed.
