Never Forget to Lie (S31E11)

I'm a documentary filmmaker. For almost fifty years, I've filmed other people's lives. I've turned the camera on myself several times. My childhood is still unfinished business for me, says Marian Marzyński, a Jewish director living in the United States who grew up in Poland during the Holocaust. In Never Forget to Lie, he comes hometo face his memories and immortalize them for the benefit of his children, so that the memory of that terrible period does not disappear with the last generation of witnesses. Marzyński strolls among old buildings and speaks profoundly about having to be constantly on the move during the war, about desperately trying to stay hidden. In addition, he speaks with other survivors who, together with him, return to a past that is seemingly distant but still painfully clear in their consciousness.
