Potkut saanut juristi Jeff Winger joutuu takaisin koulun penkille saatuaan lähtöpassit työpaikastaan. Kesken jäänyt koulu on tarkoitus niputtaa kasaan mahdollisimman nopeasti, jotta paluu työelämään olisi mahdollista. Opiskelu Greendalessa uhkaa vain muodostua liiankin kivaksi. (Viaplay Suomi)

Huumevalistusta (2011) (S02E13)

englanti Given the bar set by the second season, I guess the two stars for this episode can be considered a high rating. The episode, in line with the majority of the series, didn't exactly blow me away, but there were a few good jokes, and even Chang amused me (to my surprise). Not a standout, but it could've been worse. / Lesson learned: Check if you're wearing your costume the right way. ()

Tyrmiä ja lohikäärmeitä (2011) (S02E14)

englanti I've been picking up on certain hints for a while now, and it's pretty safe to say that I've got a bit of a thing for role-playing games. The episode hit the sweet spot for me as the creators drew inspiration from Dungeons & Dragons. The execution was spot-on, and the cleaning lady topped it all off. :) / Lesson learned: If your conscience starts gnawing at you, pull its teeth out. ()

2000-luvun romantiikkaa (2011) (S02E15)

englanti I hoped I wouldn't have to write this, but after another Valentine's episode, it's becoming pretty evident that the series creators don't really ace the holiday episodes, even though they have the potential for a lot of fun. The episode ended up being just another one of those many episodes that fell short of humor and mostly left me feeling bored. Plus, in the days when I was still into the Premier League and football in general, I was all about Manchester United, so what's there to praise? / Lesson learned: If you're a loner, maybe don't overcommit to socializing. ()

Dokumenttielokuvan jatkokurssi (2011) (S02E16) BOO!

englanti What was that supposed to be? The mishmash of a dumb plot and cringe humor has turned this season into a complete letdown for me. What's next, an episode dedicated solely to Chang? Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked; they seem desperate enough for it. This episode was a total dud — it left me bored, and I didn't find anything worth laughing at. / Lesson learned: Your reactions to certain situations can surprise even yourself. ()

Johdatus politiikan tutkimukseen (2011) (S02E17)

englanti Compared to the previous episode, this one was excellent, and you could tell the creators put in some effort. On a more serious note, the episode stuck to the same old routine, so it wasn't worth much. Still, I've got to give it credit — I wasn't bored this time, and some of the jokes got a slight chuckle out of me. / Lesson learned: Buy your own pen. ()

Huoltajuuskiista ja sotarikoksia (2011) (S02E18)

englanti Nah, this episode didn't cut it. It wrapped up just like all the others, in the style of Aesop's fables. You guessed it, there was a moral lesson in the mix, and good jokes were scarce as usual. The only character who could muster even a hint of entertainment for me was Luka, with his unabashed enthusiasm for leading genocide. / Lesson learned: When picking friends, factor in how strong your stomach is. ()

Kriittistä elokuvatutkimusta (2011) (S02E19)

englanti Kudos to the creators for pulling off a pretty consistent season with minimal ups and downs. This episode stayed right in line, and I wasn't impressed — I even found myself zoning out during Abed's never-ending monologue. The saving grace was the awesome masks (the best one was Samuel L. Jackson) and the nods to Pulp Fiction; without those, the episode wouldn't have earned a single star. / Lesson learned: Surprise parties don't have to surprise only the person being celebrated. ()

Viininmaistelua ja teatteria (2011) (S02E20)

englanti This episode held up to the second season's standards, but it fared better than the last one. I bumped up my rating by a star since it managed to keep me entertained, and some scenes even got a chuckle out of me. Still, I can't shake the disappointment that the creators couldn't inject more humor and ease up on the constant moralizing. / Lesson learned: Am I the only one noticing a string of actresses inspired by Troy? ()

Ihmismuistin ihmeellisyyksiä (2011) (S02E21)

englanti The jokes are still forced and unfunny, but this time it's got an extra layer of paradox. During the episode, I realized something. If the creators actually shot the episodes based on the montage of imaginary memories, I bet I'd be giving the second season a higher star count. I'd probably have way more fun. / Lesson learned: If you're about to fight a monkey, don't let it pick the battleground. ()

Käytännön antropologiaa (2011) (S02E22) BOO!

englanti "Push, push, push, push!!!" Man, that was a bit too much for my taste. The "humor" in this episode revolved around childbirth, and it just didn't land for me. The only saving grace, as always, was the final scene with Troy and Abed. I'd gladly do without the entire preceding plot because it was annoying and unfunny. / Lesson learned: Don't sell yourself short. At least not too short. ()

Kourallinen värikuulia (2011) (S02E23)

englanti It's a shame that the creators didn't dish out more episodes like this one. My favorite paintball was back, donning a fetching western poncho. Unlike the misfire of the claymation episode, this one hit the mark, serving up humor, western references, and even a touch of drama. I won't go all-in, though, because the paintball antics from the first season had me laughing a bit more. / Lesson learned: Always be ready for a bit of treachery. ()

Muutaman värikuulan tähden (2011) (S02E24)

englanti The only five-star rating from me this season, and it was well-deserved because the creators knocked it out of the park with the second paintball episode. The western vibe transformed into a Star Wars showdown, and even though I was disappointed at first, I ended up enjoying this unexpected twist. This was exactly my kind of thing. / Lesson learned: Keep your cool in battle. ()

Season 3 (2011) (S03)

englanti Yeah, gotta say, Season 3 wasn't up to par for me. Surprisingly, though, some individual episodes were better than the last season, and I only found myself giving zero stars once. I really dug a few episodes, so it's a letdown that the creators didn't keep up the good work for a more extended stretch. / Lesson learned: Stand tall against tyranny! Just, you know, maybe don't stand completely alone. ()

Biology 101 (2011) (S03E01)

englanti The third season kicked off in a pretty weird way. The main gripe with the first episode, at least for me, was that the core group got pushed to the sidelines, and Chang stole the spotlight with his hilariously absurd monkey gas inhalation. John Goodman delivered an outstanding performance and looked impressively terrifying. / Lesson learned: Do not inhale toxic gas. ()

Geography of Global Conflict (2011) (S03E02)

englanti Just like the last episode, I got the vibe that the creators gave up on involving the entire group in the plot and instead zeroed in on individual characters. Yeah, in the second episode, they were all in the mix, but most of them didn't get much screen time. The spotlight was heavily on Annie (not that I mind, because I'm a big Alison Brie fan) and Jeff. Oh, and let's not forget Britta and Chang, though I kinda wish I could. / Lesson learned: Don't be overly competitive. ()

Competitive Ecology (2011) (S03E03)

englanti Honestly, I was tempted to slap a big fat zero on this episode at first because it felt like a square peg in the round hole of the series' overall vibe. Eventually, I settled for a reluctant one-star rating, mainly because Todd's character brought some entertainment to the table. However, the rest of the episode let me down, and Chang's film noir was just way off the mark. / Lesson learned: Don't set turtles on fire. ()

Remedial Chaos Theory (2011) (S03E04)

englanti This episode blew me away. Six different timelines were a great idea; the series needed more of them and much earlier. When I think about it, the episodes I enjoyed the most were the paintball episode, the Halloween episode, and this one. Chang was missing, and to make up for it, humor wasn't. Win-win :-) / Lesson learned: Three timelines later, a butterfly flaps its wings and you're dead. ()

Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps (2011) (S03E05)

englanti Last time, the whole alternate timelines thing really got me hyped, and when I heard the fifth episode was going to be Halloween-themed, I was pumped like a kid in a candy store. Unfortunately, what I got wasn't the epic Halloween experience I was hoping for—it was more like a weird, half-hearted party with some spooky stories thrown in. Unlike the dice-rolling in the last episode, this one just didn't do it for me. Honestly, Dan dropped the ball on this one. / Lesson learned: Do you want to analyze your own psyche? There are probably less horrifying activities out there. ()

Advanced Gay (2011) (S03E06)

englanti This is the second episode in the season which doesn't seem to fit into the series. It was only linked to the main story by the setting and some familiar characters, but in terms of the plot, it felt like a completely different direction. The upside to the whole situation is that I saw a similar development coming, so I don't feel much disappointment, and that's fine. ()

Studies in Modern Movement (2011) (S03E07)

englanti Oh man, what a load of nonsense. It was so absurd that I couldn't help but burst out laughing. The creators once again entertained me in a way that made me throw my stars like an experienced ninja. Every key character had their moment, and they all made the most of it. But the real star was the humor. And now, if you will, a moment of silence for Horsebot 3000. Thank you. / Lesson learned: Don't drink Jesus' blood; he might want to drink yours. ()
