Barney (Paul Giamatti) is a washed up television producer who has led a very eventful yet unsatisfying life. Now he spends his days drinking and watching hockey. As his life begins to draw to an end Barney re-examines his life and takes us on a journey through his numerous failed marriages and his quest to find his true love.
