This documentary from the filming of the lesser-known catastrophe film by Abel Gance The End of the World (1931) includes screen tests, outtakes, and, most importantly, shows one of the most significant directors at work. Also unique are the examples of panoramic shooting around the camera's own axis. Footage includes shots of actual filming in the famous Joinville studios.
