This is the most effective argument for respecting Emmerich and perhaps even the great Uwe. It's also a stark memento to movie studios who would have the evil intention of making a "Half-Life" adaptation as a typical video game B-movie. It's not as atrocious as 100 Million BC, but even the torn plastic representing the guts of an alien doesn't stop me from blasting another creation of the guys from Asylum - it's still mostly a long-winded, unfunny bore.
